Samaranch made honorary professor of Renmin University of China
Mr. Juan Antonio Samaranch, honorary president for life of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), was conferred a title as honorary professor of Renmin University of China on June 25, 2007. The title, the highest of its kind in China's institutions of higher learning, was given in recognition of his contribution to the international Olympic movement as well as to China's Olympic programs.
