The U.S. dollar eased in the upper 123 yen range Monday in Tokyo.

At 5 p.m., the dollar was quoted at 123.72-75 yen against Friday's 5 p.m. quotes of 123.85-95 yen in New York and 124.06-08 yen in Tokyo.

It moved between 123.67 yen and 123.94 yen during the day, changing hands most frequently at 123.88 yen.

The euro was quoted at 1.3443-3446 dollars and 166.35-39 yen compared with Friday's 5 p.m. quotes of 1.3464-3474 dollars and 166.77-87 yen in New York and 1.3405-3407 dollars and 166.31-35 yen in Tokyo.
