font size

One of the top 500 businesses in the world, the American corporation Avery Dennison, announced a couple of days ago that it has officially opened a new factory in China's Kunshan City, with an investment of over US$10 million. As the third factory that Avery has established in China this year, it will specifically provide pressure-sensitive adhesive products for the Asia-Pacific region. Avery's total investment in China has now surpassed US$200 million. In 2006, Avery's sales quota in China surpassed US$560 million, representing 10% of its global sales quota.

Presently, the company owns a total of nineteen factories in China, and Avery just announced its successful acquisition of Paxar, a company specializing in making labels for the clothing industry. This buyout will increase Avery Dennison Corporation's total number of employees in China to more than 10, 000 employees.
