Spanish King Juan Carlos I Thursday afternoon arrived in Chengdu, capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province, for the last leg of his six-day state visit to China.
During his stay in Chengdu, the King, who started his China tour on June 24, will attend an economic seminar and meet with top provincial officials.
There are 11 Spanish enterprises in Sichuan Province, with a total contract investment of 19 million U.S. dollars, according to the province's industry and commerce authorities.
This is the third visit of Juan Carlos I to China. Prior to Chengdu, Juan Carlos I met with top Chinese leaders Hu Jintao, Wu Bangguo and Wen Jiabao in Beijing.
He also attended art exhibitions in Shanghai and Beijing as part of the on-going "Year of Spain in China" exchange program.
