Malaysia-China Business Forum 2007 will be held in Johor Bahru, capital of Malaysia's southern state of Johor, on July 5, the organizers said.
The one-day event, themed Growing Bilateral Relationship: Expanding Business Opportunities, was jointly organized by the Malaysia-China Business Council, the Asian Strategy and Leadership Institute and the Johor Investment Center.
This is the first time that the forum will take place in Johor, where the Malaysian government has launched the South Johor Economic Region (Iskandar Development Region) to push the economic growth in the region.
The forum will showcase the huge business and investment opportunities, especially to foreign delegates from China and other countries, the organizers said.
Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi is expected to deliver a keynote speech at the forum that will be attended by some 200 delegates.
