China to focus on training technicians

Beijing, Nov.16 (People's Daily Online) --China recently issued the Implementation Method of China's High-End Human Resource Revitalization Plan. According to the method, the total number of China's technicians and senior technicians will reach 10 million in 2020.

The method says that China will prioritize the training of technicians as well as construction of senior technician training and technical master offices during the period between 2011 and 2020.

China will give priority to train 500,000 (50,000 per year) senior technicians who are badly needed in various industries. China will also build 1,200 high-end technician training bases, and then a high-end technician training network covering all key industries and central cities of China will gradually take shape.
