An international general aviation convention will be held from Oct. 17 to 21 in northwest China's Shaanxi Province, organizers confirmed on Wednesday.
The convention in the provincial capital city of Xi'an will feature air shows, an aircraft and aeronautical equipment exhibition, as well as professional forums, they said.
So far, more than 500 companies have confirmed their participation, and there will be about 100 aircraft on display.
Zhang Yan, an official with the administration committee of Xi'an Aviation Base, said that the aeronautical equipment exhibition has prepared 300 booths for exhibits including aircraft, unmanned planes, aero-engine and aviation financial services.
General aviation refers to all flights other than military and scheduled airline and regular flights, both private and commercial.
The aviation convention in Xi'an was first launched in 2009 by the Shaanxi provincial government and the Civil Aviation Administration of China.
