IPCC report spurs call for int'l action by NGOs, civil society

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) released its latest report in Stockholm on Friday, confirming the inconvenient truth that human activities were responsible for climate change and urged governments to take climate action.

According to a press release by the IPCC, the UN-backed panel confirmed climate change was real, was happening at an alarming rate, and that human-activities, mainly the burning of fossil fuels, was causing it.
