At Zhejiang University, there are 14 dorm rooms in which the four freshmen roommates were born on the same day, according to zjol.com.cn.
On enrollment day Tuesday, freshman Qi Yu found his three roommates shared the same birth date with him: Jan 26, 1995.
The four boys were assigned to Room 2017, Building 3 of Blue Land (school for engineering), and their neighbors were all born on the same day, too.
There are about 5,800 freshmen this year. Chen Sisi, a teacher in charge of room assignment, said the freshmen in the 14 rooms were arranged by the university on purpose.
Freshmen are assigned according to their ID number segments, which led to Qi and his roommates, four Aquarius boys, being assigned together, Chen said, addin that she hopes the arrangement can help the new roommates get along well.
