A press conference for the 9th China (Beijing) International Garden Expo took place at 6pm. August 2, 2013, according to CRI Online.
The expo is the longest-lasting and largest national and international pageant after the Beijing Olympic Games, and has been open for 75 days since May 18. So far, it has run smoothly to demonstrate its beauty and charm to the world.
The expo showcases garden styles from home and abroad, plus about one-hundred extraordinary cultural activities, and has attracted 1.7 million visitors. Attending the expo is now regarded as a fashionable activity in China.
Visiting the expo in the evening is certainly one way of cooling off from the summer heat.
The expo is running evening tours on Fridays and Saturdays until September 20 at the expo park where visitors can watch light and water shows, float parades and enjoy their leisure time at night in the exquisite setting of the expo park.
