Senior Chinese leader Luo Gan met with Nepalese Chief Justice Dilip Kumar Paudel on Tuesday in Beijing and called for expanding bilateral exchanges in the judicial area.
Luo, Standing Committee member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), spoke positively of the close cooperation between the two countries in various areas since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1955.
China appreciates Nepal's precious support on the Taiwan, Tibet and human rights issues, he said, and called on the two countries' judicial departments to share experience and expand exchanges.
Luo told Paudel China attaches great importance to the role of the legal system in its social and economic development. China will exercise its judicial practice according to its own circumstances, and meanwhile learn from other countries in this regard.
Paudel expressed agreement with Luo's views on bilateral relations and said China's experience in economic and social development as well as the building of a harmonious society is important to Nepalese people. He expressed appreciation of China's precious support to Nepal over the years and expected more exchanges with China in the judicial area.
