Number of private sedan cars exceeds 13 million

Information from The Traffic Management Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security shows, that by the end of June, the number China's motor vehicle drivers reached 157 million. The number of automobile drivers exceeded 100 million for the first time.

The data show that the rate of privately-owned motor vehicles has risen gradually. By the end of June, the number of China's privately-owned motor vehicles exceeded 115 million, making up 75.43 percent of the total volume of motor vehicles. The number of China's private sedan cars reached more than 13 million.
