Syrian team set out for Asian basketball championship |

The Syrian men's basketball team on Wednesday left for Japan to participate in the 24th Asian Basketball Championship from July 28 to August 5.
The Syrian team will begin their campaign on Saturday against Chinese Taipei and then face Hong Kong team on Sunday in their second match.
They will then take on South Korea next Tuesday, concluding their matches in the preliminary round.
Before leaving for the games, the team had held an indoor training camp in Damascus.
