Import/export of electronic information products up 20%

China's import/export of electronic production products reached 350.75 billion US dollars in the first half of this year, up 21.7 percent year on year with the growth rate 15.7 percentage points lower than that of the previous year, according to the Ministry of Information Industry.

Of them, export stood at 198.11 billion US dollars, up 24.9 percent and taking 36.2 percent of the national total. Import reached 152.64 billion dollars, up 17.8 percent.

In terms of company types, export by exclusively foreign-funded enterprises rose 26.3 percent, or 67.6 percent of the nation's total. Chinese-foreign joint ventures exported 32.87 billion dollars worth of goods, taking 16.6 percent.

In terms of trade type, processing and assembling with imported materials still dominated China's export trade, with the value standing at 138.01 billion and 30.26 billion dollars respectively, together taking up 84.9 percent of the state's export.
