According to reports, a subsidiary commercial company of the Shaolin Temple confirmed on June 25 that the company has opened a Shaolin Temple online store on a well-known online shopping portal in China.
A online store called Shaolin Huanxidi opened at Taobao.com. The products on the online store including Zen meditation robes, Kungfu shoes, incense sticks, candlesticks, and also Shaolin elementary T-shirts, watches and other cultural and creative products.
Gu Liying, a spokeswoman, said that this online store has already sold more than 20 products worth nearly 2,000 yuan.
In May this year, the home base of Shaolin Huanxidi opened in the scenic temple area. It has a vegetarian restaurant and a experience building.
