On April 22, Cheung Kong (Holdings) and Hutchison Whampoa Companies, both under the leadership of Li Ka-shing, jointly donated 100 million yuan to the China Pavilion for World Expo 2010 Shanghai. This is the first donation to reach 100 million yuan since the donation campaign was initiated.
Relevant Shanghai parties met with a delegation led by Victor Li, the managing director and deputy chairman of Cheung Kong (Holdings) and deputy chairman of Hutchison Whampoa, to express their heartfelt thanks for the support and donation which will be used for the construction of the China Pavilion for the World Expo 2010 Shanghai. They also expressed their desire in welcoming more China's Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan citizens to take an interest and support the efforts of the 2010 World Expo Shanghai.
