Senior Chinese official calls for enhancing Internet cultural development |

Senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Li Changchun on Wednesday called for strengthening the Internet cultural development to build an "active and healthy online environment" in China.
"The CPC should strive to build a nationwide public cultural service system that guarantees each member of the public access tohealthy and excellent cultural products," said Li, a member of theStanding Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, addressing Chinese political advisors..
Speaking at the same meeting, Jia Qinglin, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, said enhancing cultural development and building an environment-friendly society were of great significance in realizing social harmony and scientific development.
