The Bangladeshi government reconfirmed "One China" policy on Monday.

Bangladeshi Foreign Secretary in-Charge Touhid Hossain said there is one China in the world and Taiwan is one part of China.

He said whatever Taiwan will do in any international entity, Bangladesh will be with China and support China.

The foreign secretary made the remarks in response to the Taiwan authorities' recent application for the membership of United Nations.

Touhid Hossain said Taiwan is not a country, so it is not qualified for applying for the membership of UN.
