Macao CE vows to cement economic base, boost multi-dimensional development |

Edmund Ho Hau Wah, chief executive of the Macao Special Administrative Region (MSAR), said here Tuesday that Macao in the coming year is to cement its economic base and to speed up the development pace for "the multi-dimensional economy."
The official said while delivering his annual policy address that the government of the MSAR is to boost the development of the tourism business and the reform of the manufacture industry in the coming year.
Ho said the government is to enhance the surveillance on the pillar gaming industry in a bid to usher the business into a healthy development process.
He also pledged to help promote the cooperation between the region's enterprises and those of the Chinese mainland.
The official said Macao is to play a more active role as the platform for the economic cooperation between China and oversees countries.
He also promised to help the development of medium and small-sized enterprises. Source: Xinhua
