Profile of Chen Tianqiao

Chen Tianqiao, born in 1973, Co-founded Shanda Interactive Entertainment Ltd. in December 1999 and has been its Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer since December 1999.

The company grew quickly after it became Chinese mainland agent for the Korean game "Legend". Shanda, Which is now the leader in China's online game industry, was listed on Nasdaq in 2003.

Prior to establishing Shanda Networking, Mr. Chen served as the Vice Director of the office of the president of Kinghing Trust & Investment Co., Ltd. from 1998 to 1999. From 1994 to 1998, he served in various management positions with Shanghai Lujiazui Group.

He has been the Chairman and Director of Shanda Interactive Entertainment Ltd since December 1999. Chen has been a Director of Shanda Games Limited since June 2008 and a Director at Hurray! Holding Co. Ltd. since July 2009.

Chen profited handsomely from the company's success, earning a spot on published lists of the rich people on Chinese mainland. The list, however, made Chen a target.

Mr. Chen serves as a director of SinoMedia Holding Ltd. Mr. Chen was granted the Rising Business Star award by China Central TV, China's official national television network, in its recent selection of China's top annual business personalities for 2003. Mr. Chen holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Fudan University.
