A senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) has urged its discipline inspection organs at all levels to step up capacity building efforts by carefully studying the major policy decisions and strategic arrangements made at the CPC's 17th national congress.
He Guoqiang, head of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) of the CPC, made the remarks Saturday at the closing of a symposium attended by CCDI members and other high-rank disciplinary officials.
CCDI and its affiliating organs have been internal organizations of CPC which are responsible for initiating investigations of alleged corrupt officials.
The three-day symposium was started on Thursday to help the CCDI members to develop a clear understanding of the CPC's policies outlined at its 17th National Congress last October.
He stressed to build a commission consists of just, self-disciplined and efficient corruption fighters to seek after more effective methods and practices in the war against corruption.
He, also member of the Political Bureau of the Standing Committee of the CPC Central Committee, said the anti-corruption work must be improved to cope with new situations.
To guarantee the implementation of major policy decisions and strategic arrangements made at the CPC's 17th national congress, all discipline inspectors must step up efforts to enhance their capacity to fight corruption and uphold integrity, He said.
