The First Session of the 11th National People's Congress (NPC), the country's top legislature, is scheduled to start on Wednesday morning.
NPC deputies will hear and discuss the government work report by Premier Wen Jiabao, report on national economic and social development and report on the central and local budgets.
All the delegations of NPC deputies will meet on Wednesday afternoon to discuss the government work report.
Members of the 11th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), the top political advisory body, will attend the opening of the NPC session as non-voting delegates on Wednesday morning.
