Top Chinese official He Guoqiang has urged local leaders to improve their work style and honor their solemn commitments to the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the people.

In his article to be published Monday on the "Qiu Shi" (Seeking Truth) magazine, He Guoqiang, the CPC's Central Commission for Discipline Inspection secretary, said local leaders should fulfill their responsibilities and finish their tasks with a good state of mind and working style.

He, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks after new leadership in local CPC committee, people's congress, government and political consultative conference took office after rounds of election initiated from 2006.

"Qiu Shi" Magazine is the official publication of the CPC Central Committee.
