Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping has urged Party schools of Communist Party of China (CPC) at all levels to make more contributions to the country's development.

Xi, also headmaster of the Party school of the CPC Central Committee, made the remark here in attending a national conference on the Party school's construction.

The Vice President asked headmasters of Party schools at all levels to well study a keynote speech delivered by General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee Hu Jintao at the conference on Monday and improve the quality of the education to the Party's officials.

Xi urged Party schools to provide Party officials with training courses that could improve their abilities to deal with complicated situations foreign and domestic.

Party schools should play more important roles in promoting a more professional attitude among the Party's officials, he said, adding that Party school's education should always be adapted to the Party and government's needs.

The headmaster stressed that Party schools should improve their research and innovation of theories and should regard the study of socialism with Chinese characteristics theory as a core job.

Party schools should deepen the studies of communist party's ruling, socialist construction and other social development theories, he said.

To make more contributions to the Party and country's development, Party schools should also attract more talents and maintain a good human resources management, the official told the headmasters attending the conference.

Party schools should especially support and cultivate those talents who had made outstanding contributions or led the studies of a certain discipline, Xi said.

The headmaster asked Party schools at all levels to accelerate reforms of human resources affairs and create a transparent, competitive and democratic promotion systems.

The conference attended by Party school headmasters at all levels across the country was held from Sunday to Tuesday in Beijing, in which Chinese President Hu Jintao had given a speech on improving Party school's function under the country's current situation.
