Tibet's foreign trade has maintained strong growth momentum despite the impact of Lhasa "3 .14" incident, statistics from relevant departments of the Tibet Autonomous Region show.
In the first quarter of this year, Tibet's foreign trade import and export volume reached 89.3 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 16.2 percent compared with the same period last year. The import volume reached 15.09 million U.S. dollars, an increase by 2.1 times and the total export amounted to 74.21 million U.S. dollars, down by 9.8 percent.
