2000 bank outlets in Beijing can exchange currency

As of the end of June, there are over 2000 bank outlets in Beijing that are qualified to exchange foreign currencies. Of these, 295 are located in the areas near Olympic Games events and are fully qualified and equipped to exchange foreign currencies.

Outside of these bank outlets, there are 369 other institutions, including 330 hotels rated three stars and above, that can exchange currency. 80% of qualified hotels are rated over three stars. 10 currency exchange outlets are located in the Beijing Capital International Airport. All bank outlets and currency exchange institutions in the capital airport can exchange currencies both ways. In order to exchange currency at the abovementioned outlets, one must bring a valid ID.
