Heavy rain that has fallen almost constantly since June 16 has killed five people in southwest China's Yunnan Province, the provincial civil affairs department said Thursday.
About 190,000 people have been affected by the storms, with 97 reported injured. More than 640 people have been evacuated, the department said, and more than 2,000 houses and 11,000 ha of crops were damaged.
