Expo 2010 Shanghai online launched on Nov. 12

The 7th Expo 2010 Shanghai International Forum will be held in Beijing on Nov. 12. Expo 2010 Shanghai online, a highlight of Expo 2010 shanghai, will be launched the same day. It will provide the worldwide Internet users with experiences of the Expo using advanced web technology.

Expo 2010 Shanghai International Forum is sponsored by Shanghai government and Bureau of International Exhibitions (BIE). The previous six forums were held in Shanghai, Pairs, Aichi and Zaragoza from 2003 to 2008. They were all great platforms for cultural exchange and cooperation. This forum is the last chance for Shanghai to learn from other cities before Expo 2010 kicks off.

Expo 2010 Shanghai International Forum will focus on three areas, "sustainable urban development", "abundant urban cultures" and "concept of expo".

It will discuss multi cultural phenomenon in the process of industrialization and urbanization. It will also keep an eye on the influences that global issues bring to Shanghai and international communities as well.

By now, international organizations from 217 countries and regions have confirmed to take part in Expo 2010 Shanghai online. All provinces, Hong Kong SAR and Macao SAR, 40 Best Practice Regions and 18 companies will also participate.
