In the past few days, Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei provinces have suffered from sauna-like conditions characterized by high-temperature days with high humidity, the China News Service reported on July 26.
China's National Meteorological Center continued to issue high-temperature blue alerts on July 26 and said parts of China, including Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei Province, Shanxi Province, Chongqing, Hunan Province, Guangdong Province and Gansu Province, have been hit by scorching hot weather with temperatures over 42 degrees Celsius.
It is estimated that in the coming three days, the Turpan Depression as well as the southern basin in Xinjiang, western Gansu Province and most parts of Inner Mongolia will see temperatures between 35 degrees Celsius and 37 degrees Celsius. Temperatures in parts of these regions will reach 42 degrees Celsius.
And northwestern Shaanxi, north of Shanxi, middle and western parts of Hebei, Beijing, western Tianjin, middle and west parts of south of the Yangtze River will be hit with hot days with temperatures in excess of 35 degree Celsius.
