Beijing Subway Line 4 was shortly delayed this morning. The running interval time of Subway Line 4 from Haidian Huangzhuang station to the Yuanmingyuan station increased significantly at about 6:55 p.m. The initial reports blame signal instability, which caused trains to run slowly, and the running interval time of following trains increased, according to the Beijing MTR Corporation (BJMTR).
Yang Ling, spokesman for BJMTR, said they quickly took emergency measures after the failure occurred. The breakdown in Beijing Subway Line 4 was fixed by 8:25 p.m., and normal operations have been restored.
