Fog has stranded more than 8,000 people at the main airport in Dalian, a port city in northeast China's Liaoning Province.
Heavy fog descended on Zhoushuizi Airport early Wednesday delaying over 50 flights, and leaving about 8,000 passengers stranded as of 11 a.m. Thursday, said a spokesman with the airport.
The fog cleared around 10 a.m. Thursday, however it would take sometime to get the stranded to their destinations because of the lack of planes at airport.
