Premier Wen Jiabao said on Friday that China and Germany share more common interests than differences, during a meeting with German Vice Chancellor and Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

"As long as we follow the principles of mutual respect, equality and reciprocity to strengthen dialogue and consultations, cooperation in all fields could continue to make progress," said Wen.

He stressed that maintaining healthy and stable relations benefits both countries and the two peoples.

Steinmeier said Germany values its relationship with China and will enhance dialogue and cooperation on bilateral and international issues.

Wen also met Friday with German entrepreneurs who accompanied Steinmeier.
