China and Australia had concluded here on Friday their 11th round of talk on the free trade zone, said the Chinese Ministry of Commerce.

Negotiators from both sides covered during the talk a wide range of subjects, including market access concerning commodity trade, financial and education services, intellectual property rights, investment, non-tariff protective measures, rules of origin, procedures at the customs, inspection and quarantine issues, and dispute settlement.

"Preliminary achievements" on issues of particular concern to each party were also discussed, said the ministry.

The two sides also agreed to have the next round of talk in Canberra in early September.

The two countries started the talk on the free trade zone in April 2005.
