Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao left here Thursday for home after winding up his tight scheduled 48-hour stay in New York.

Wen arrived here Tuesday morning for a high-level UN meeting for the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and the general debate of the 63rd UN General Assembly.

During the stay, he also met with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and foreign leaders, broadly engaged with the U.S. people from many walks of life. Wen also met with representatives from Chinese missions overseas, overseas Chinese, Chinese students and Chinese-funded institutions, as well as local media.
