China, Qatar vow to boost bilateral cooperation in various fields

China and Qatar on Tuesday pledged efforts to boost bilateral cooperation in various fields and push forward the friendly relations between the two countries.

During a meeting with Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Song Tao, Qatari Crown Prince Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani said Qatar has always attached great importance to the friendly ties with China.

He said Qatar is willing to work together with China to enhance bilateral cooperation in such fields as economy, energy, culture and education.

For his part, Song said China and Qatar have maintained a good momentum in their friendly relations, featured by frequent high-level visits, enhanced political trust and comprehensive cooperation in various sectors.

China is ready to join hands with Qatar to promote bilateral cooperation in various fields and bring the friendly ties between the two countries to a new high, said Song.

Song is heading a Chinese delegation to the third session of the Conference of the State Parties to the United Nations Convention Against Corruption, currently held in the Qatari capital.
