The exhibition aims to introduce Chinese culture and English language courses for U.S. students, and provides face-to-face directions on how to apply to a Chinese university. Meanwhile, the fair will provide information about certain posts in China, hoping to attract Chinese scholars in the United States to work in their home country.
U.S. President Barack Obama said during his trip to China that the United States would further expand its youth exchange with China by increasing the number of students studying here to 100,000 within four years.
Currently, there are 18,000 U.S. students studying in China, exceeding Japan and only second after South Korea. With the increasing popularity of the Chinese language in the United States, more and more U.S. students will come to China to learn Chinese.
Many well-known Chinese universities, including Beijing University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Xiamen Uniersity and Chongqing University, were presented at the exhibition and job fair.
