Liu Xinsheng, Chinese ambassador to Tanzania, made the remarks at the opening ceremony of the exhibition of "Henan in the Eyes of World Photographers", stressing the role of cultural exchange in enhancing the bilateral relations.
He referred to the large-scale celebrations of China's traditional Spring Festival in February in Tanzania, which further deepened the bilateral friendship and enriched the Tanzanian's knowledge about Chinese culture.
He expressed the belief that the exhibition will also make Tanzanians know more about China and the Henan province in central China.
The Chinese ambassador also made a brief introduction about Henan and its rich tourist attractions such as Longmen Grotto and Shaolin Temple.
For his part, Director of Culture Development of Ministry of Information, Culture and Sports of Tanzania Herman Mwansoko echoed the Chinese ambassador in hailing the bilateral cultural exchange, noting that the Tanzanians had witnessed the performance of China's dragon dancing and martial arts in the past.
