He also claimed that 12 girl students, who want to go out of the besieged mosque and seminary, have started hunger strike as protest.

The court expressed concern over the sufferings of the people in curfew-hit areas and over the safety of the besieged students.

Meanwhile President Pervez Mushararf was scheduled to chair a high level meeting on Monday to review options on how to resolve the standoff.

The government confirmed at least 22 people were killed in the violence which started on July 3 noon when a group of Lal Masjid religious students snatched arms and mobile sets from some policemen deployed near the mosque.

But the Lal Masjid deputy Abdul Rashid Ghazi claims that more than 300 students have died during operation, the claimed denied by the government.

A pilot-less spy plane was flying over the mosque and seminary for hours early Monday, according to private Geo TV channel.

Authorities kept on making loudspeakers announcements to the besieged armed students to surrender and lay down arms.

So far around 1,300 religious students have come out of the mosque and seminary complex to surrender to law enforcers, according to official figures.
