German police on Thursday continued searching for ten more terrorist suspects believed to have helped the three men held for allegedly plotting massive bomb attacks.
The ten suspects are "Germans, Turks and other nationalities," a top security official, August Hanning, told German ARD television on Thursday.
German police believed that the suspects were plotting massive attacks against some sensitive targets including airports, theatres and U.S. facilities in Germany.
Earlier on Wednesday, German authorities announced that they had arrested two Germans and a Turk suspected of planning huge bombings.
Federal prosecutor Monika Harms said the three had been trained at camps in Pakistan. They had procured some chemicals that could have provoked an explosion with the same strength as 550 kilograms of dynamite.
Local media said the three arrested suspects are two German converts to Islam, aged 22 and 29, and a 29-year-old Turk.
