One person was killed and four others were injured in an explosion in a workshop in the Turkish largest city of Istanbul on Thursday, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported.
The explosion caused the collapse of the roof of the basement of the two-storey metal workshop and Ahmet Bulut, the owner of the workshop named "Bulut Ticaret" in Eminonu district, was trapped under the rubble and lost his life, according to the report.
Four people, including passer-by persons, were also injured and taken to a hospital for treatment.
Earlier media report said three injured in the explosion.
The cause of the explosion is immediately unknown though some media reports said it was caused by an industrial gas canister.
Bombings are not uncommon in Turkey as Kurdish, Islamic and leftist militants are said to be active in the country.
