Strong earthquake hits Aleutian Islands |

An earthquake measuring 7.3 on the Richter scale hit Aleutian Islands at 0940 GMT Wednesday, the Hong Kong Observatory reported.
The epicenter was initially determined to be 51.3 degrees north latitude, 179.4 degrees east longitude, about 920 kilometers west-southwest of Unalaska Island, the United States.
