A severe snowstorm roared through Canada's eastern Ontario and Quebec provinces Friday, causing over100 road accidents, canceling flights and closing schools.
Between 15 and 30 centimeters' snow is expected for the region by Saturday. Ice pellets, freezing rain and strong wind is also expected.
Some regions may receive blowing snow, which will reduce visibility to nearly zero, federal agency Environment Canada warned.
More than 200 flights at Toronto's Pearson International Airport were canceled or delayed Friday. National railway VIA rail added more trains after some buses were canceled.
The storm was expected to move further east into the Atlantic provinces, which are still reeling from a winter wallop earlier in the week.
