The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) will continue to increase its capacity of self-defense, a senior official said here Saturday.
The United States was further reinforcing its armed forces in the Asian-Pacific surrounding the Korean Peninsula and the U.S.-led war exercises targeted against the DPRK were frequently staged, said Kim Il Chol, minister of the People's Armed Forces, in a national meeting marking the 55th anniversary of the end of the Korean War.
He urged the U.S. and Japan to drop anti-DPRK policy and warned that the DPRK would strike back with a super hard-line policy if the U.S. and South Korea dared to impose a new war.
He also said the DPRK people will never forget Chinese people's support in the Korean war.
The Korean Peninsula remains technically at war as the three-year Korean War was ended on July 27, 1953 by an armistice agreement not a peace treaty.
