Three-day rains have caused damage to many parts of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), said Monday the official KCNA news agency.
Heavy rains poured on Kangwon Province, South Hwanghae Province and South Phyongan Province from August 1 to 3, the KCNA said.
The downpours inflicted heavy losses to various sectors of the national economy including agriculture and to the people's livelihood in the relevant areas, it added. Details of the damage were not given in the report.
Last year, floods from heavy rains also hit the country, which requested international relief aid. Source:Xinhua
