President Kurmanbek Bakiyev of Kyrgyzstan has strongly condemned the suicide bomb attack on a luxury hotel in the Pakistani capital of Islamabad, reports from Bishkek said Tuesday.
In a message to his Pakistani counterpart Asif Ali Zardari, Bakiyev expressed his indignation at the terrorist attack and the heavy casualties it had caused, according to Kyrgyzstan's presidential press office.
Kyrgyzstan strongly condemns the inhuman act, he said, adding that his country supports the Pakistani government's efforts to put an end to such atrocities.
Bakiyev also called on the international community to jointly fight terrorism.
On Saturday night, suicide bombers rammed a truck laden with explosives into the the Marriott Hotel in Islamabad, killing more than 50 people, including Czech ambassador Ivo Zdarek, and wounding more than 250 others. Source:Xinhua
