Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari will pay a two-day state visit to the United Arab Emirates(UAE) from Monday.

The visit is aimed at a comprehensive upgradation of Pakistan's relations with the UAE with a focus on establishing a strategic and economic partnership between the two countries, said Foreign Office Spokesman Muhammad Sadiq in his weekly briefing here Thursday.

Sadiq said that Zardari would hold official talks as well as one-on-one meeting with the UAE president. He said that other engagements of Zardari would include meetings with the UAE prime minister and the ruler of Dubai, the crown prince of Abu Dhabi and important dignitaries.

Zardari will also meet with the chief executives of major Abu Dhabi-based companies. It will be Zardari's first official visit to the UAE.
