A Twin Otter plane, operated by Aviastar, went missing during its flight from Dekai to Wamena in Papua, Indonesia, an Aviastar official confirmed on Monday.

Aviastar Safety Manager, namely Firman, said that the plane was carrying three people, including pilot, co-pilot and an engineer, the news portal Detik.com reported.

He said that the plane lost contact at around 15:00 p.m. local time (0654 GMT). The plane was loaded with food logistics.

There was no further details on how the plane was missing or the search activity to find the ill-fated plane.
