India successfully test fired two domestically-made nuclear-capable missiles on Monday from a test range in Chandipur in eastern Orissa, according to the Press Trust of India news agency.
The nine-meter long missile, called Prithvi-Ⅱ with a range of 350 kilometers, can carry a warhead weighing up to 500 kilograms.
Until now, the Indian Army had been equipped with a shorter ranged version of the nuclear-capable missile, “Prithvi-I”, with a range of 150 kilometers.
