Landslide kill 8 in north Pakistan

IAt least eight people were killed and 10 others were injured on occurrence of a landslide in north Pakistan's mountain area of Skardu on Thursday night, local TV channel reported.
According to the private GEO News, the injured people were rescued and are being shifted to a nearby hospital.
The landslide also smashed eight houses in Kharming subdivision, local people said.
Rescue teams jointly led by Deputy Commissioner Skardu Mohammed Ali and Assistant Commissioner Mohammedi have arrived on the incident site and have kicked off rescue efforts.
