Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak said that he had instructed the Malaysian Immigration to facilitate the issuance of visas in India to make it easier for Indians to visit Malaysia.
Speaking at the Malaysia-India Business Seminar here on Thursday, Najib said that the department would set up more offices throughout India so that Indian visitors to Malaysia could apply for visas easily.
According to Najib, there are over 100 flights between Malaysia and India every week.
While Malaysia Airlines, the country's national carrier, operate 30 weekly flights between the two countries, Malaysia's budget airlines Air Asia has 63 weekly flights flying between Malaysia and India.
Another 21 weekly flights are operated by three Indian airlines.
